VÄSTERÅS SOK in England

21st-24th Feb 2008

Västerås SOK managed to make a trip to England to train with their Sheffield counterparts and to have a look at how we live here in Sheffield.

VSOK at Tankersley

Arriving on the thursday night in the dark we did a quick road/trail run around Stanage and the area of Hathersage - a few of them wearing dobs, which sounded painful!!

On the Friday, some had to work but others managed to head out to burbage for a spot of orienteering in the moors.  VSOK found it very different to that of Swedish terrain but enjoyed themselves and endulged in a Little John after a trip into Sheffield/ more O-ing in Eccy woods.

Burbage

Saturday morning they did some o-ing around Tankersley on Neil Northrop's new map.  Intricate detail led to some good times and a clock relay finished the trainin off.

Jonathan at Stanage

Sunday morning was a quick jog with Phil and Helen Winskill over Stanage Edge and back around through Hathersage.

Overall a very successful weekend with plenty of training possibilityies for the coming season.
