10Mila
Am I scared?
Well the answer to that is, yes... I think I am!
Having not run for a Swedish club, and the largest relay event I've run in being the Jan Kjellstrom relay, the TioMila does seem a daunting thing to do at this point!
With over 300 teams, this is without doubt, the largest relay I wil have ever witnessed - and at night!!!! what am I thinking?! To be realistic, I'm looking to be out for over an hour and a bit at the absolute least - and having not run at night for a while, its going to make it harder for me to adjust.
Looking online at satellite images of the area - the forest looks very open in places which will be different to any of the areas I have run on in Sweden before.
My Swedish terrain experiences range from the forests around Uppsala and Stockholm, and also the islands and crags of Göteborg and the flat lands of Småland.
I haven't run around Västerås before, and the area used to the 10Mila is only a 45minute drive from Västerås. Exciting times.
I'm both excited and scared and can't wait for the Västerås SOK team selections to arrive tomorrow.
