WOC 2006

Denmark is the place, summer is the time and this was the selection race weekend.

The city of Aarhus was the destination for the GBR potential and the races ran their course over the weekend with the sprint on Friday, middle on Saturday and classic on Sunday.

Jenny has told me that the youth hostel food wasn’t the best and that there were fireworks on the night before the classica race at 3.30AM, but the weekend went well and all runners performed to a good standard.

Jenny finished 4th on the Sprint and the classic and 5th in the Middle distance race. She was quite content with these results and was neck and neck with ShUOC’s own Rachael Elder all weekend.

The other ShUOC stars managed to compete well with Oli, Craney and Neil performing well in the races, with Oli the highest placed out of the three. SYO’s Mike Sprot also ran and so did Rob Baker, completing the Yorkshire lineup.
